Fall Festival at Children's Farm

We just got back from a big day at the Children's Farm's Fall Festival. It wasn't as crowded as the butterfly festival last weekend- and it wasn't as hot either. So both Timmy & I had a GREAT time! There was tons to do- we went on a hayride (if that doesn't shake Tommy out I don't know what will!), Timmy went horse back riding and he got to pet all sorts of animals. We ran into a lot of other families that are part of our play group- and hung out w/ Karen & Olivia (who is 1 month younger than Timmy). I'm attaching a couple of pics- but if you want to see all the photos, click on this link: http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=7z4gsrl2.6jp90wn6&x=0&y=-viyhhv&localeid=en_US

Another playground installed!

A playground that I sold earlier this year was just finished being installed. I met w/ the customer (same company who bought the other playground sold and installed in June) said their client is happy with it. I love hearing that being that I designed the playground myself!!

It's kind of cool that Tommy didn't come into the world yet- gave me a chance to meet with the customer and not only did I hear all is well- but she wants another quote to replace an old structure across the street from this one! (it's a large apartment complex). Hopefully another sale!!!

We need a "family vehicle" so an additional sale this summer would help- a LOT!

A new park!!

We met my friend Elizabeth & her 2 year old, Bella at a brand new park near us. The park just recently opened up and cost over $1 million (now that is a playground sale I would have loved to get!!). Timmy didn't stop running around the entire time we were there. He just had a blast! And it's a great "in between" spot for Elizabeth & I to meet. This stay at home thing wouldn't work out if it wasn't for these little play dates... I think Timmy & I would be so bored and sick of eachother :)

Butterfly Festival

Yesterday (Sunday) Tim went out mountain biking so I took the opporotunity to have some more one on one time w/ Timmy and to do something special. Lake Katherine (a small nature preserve by our house) was having their annual Monarch Butterfly festival. And kids wearing a butterfly costume got a free prize bag. So- I quickly made Timmy some butterfly wings (which he helped decorate) and then taped some pipe cleaners to his baseball cap and... wa-la!! Timmy was a buttefly. He LOVED wearing his wings- he thought it was fun that once we got there- all these other kids were butterflies too!

It was really, really packed and there was about a 40 minute wait to get inside the butterfly tent (which was a big screen tent) but we walked on the outside of it and saw many, many butterflies. Timmy also went to the petting zoo, played with oodles of bubbles and just had a blast. Until nap time approached :)

It's been busy around here!

It's been awhile since our last post... mostly because things seemed to have gotten real crazy real fast! On September 5 I found out that I was already 2 cm dialated. The following Monday (Sept 8) I lost my plug. It really seemed as if Tommy was going to make his arrival any minute. But then I guess he changed his mind :) The past two appointments (9/12 & 9/19- every Friday)there has been no change in dialation. So... it could happen in 5 minutes or 2 weeks. At least we are "ready"

The walk took place last Saturday (9/13). It was pouring buckets of rain that day- the town we were in got 10 inches (in one day!!). We were expeting 250 people but w/ the weather 98 came. I'm actually quite impressed that many was able to make it! So far, we have raised about $27,000... awesome!

Just hanging in until Tommy comes!

Timmy has friends over!

We had a couple of Timmy's friends from our mom's group/play group over today. PJ (the other little boy in the pic) is just a couple of weeks younger than Timmy- and the two of them just LOVE trains!! Isabella (Bella) turned 2 just a couple of weeks ago but with having 2 older brothers- she is used to hanging out w/ boys and playing w/ boy type toys. All three of them had a blast. PJ's mom, Colleen and Bella's mom, Elizabeth each brought something and together we made a little pot luck lunch. The weather was really crappy outside so it was a great day to stay inside and play w/ trains (choo choo!)

Labor Day camping

The plan was to go camping over the holiday weekend but due to being very prego and the weather being very, very hot- we decided to drive over to Potatoe Creek State Park (IN) and stay Saturday night w/ Tim's parents and them leave for home Sunday night. The plan worked out great- and we had a great time! I even went for over a 2 mile hike and didn't trip or fall!! Timmy found an inchworm which he thought was the coolest thing (this is the picture where he has really big eyes).
